Ulric became upset 😤 upon uncovering his ukulele was taken by his uptight, unabashed uncle. How unbelievable! To unwind, he made himself some udon noodles with sea urchin, and made himself useful to the uniformed umpire. Unfortunately, under the surface, Ulric remained utterly crushed. His university friends sent the uncle an ultimatum, but they were undermined and received no update. Ultimately, only the unicorn 🦄 and her ubiquitous ultramarine umbrella ☂️ were able to help Ulric in these uncertain times.

Uzbekistan is called a doubly landlocked country because it is surrounded only by landlocked countries. The official language is Uzbek, spoken by the majority of its inhabitants, the Uzbek people. Uzbek was previously written using the Arabic script, but a switch to the Latin script was started in the 1920s. A new Uzbek alphabet of 34 letters was approved at a conference in 1929, but in 1940, under Stalin rule, Uzbek was switched to the Cyrillic alphabet. Following the independence of Uzbekistan from the USSR, the Latin script was reintroduced in 1992. Today, all three forms – Arabic, Cyrillic and Latin – continue to be used to write Uzbek, making this a truly fascinating place.
