Plushie Scavenger Hunt Overview

Planning and hosting a plushie scavenger hunt is a fun and engaging activity that has many benefits for children (and adults too)!

A plushie scavenger hunt encourages critical thinking and problem solving skills in order to navigate from one clue to the next to reach the finish line. If there are teams with multiple children, it will help them improve their team work and communication skills to win the prize.

Instead of being on their phones and smart devices, a plushie scavenger hunt is active and gets kids up and moving whether it's indoor or outdoor, and encourages them to be present in the moment and with their family, friends, and classmates. The physical and active component is great if they are fueled up on sugar and energy, and you want a controlled way to burn it off!

Plushie scavenger hunts are also very versatile as they can be planned and performed with any number of participants - all you really need is a minimum of two or three children, and it can be played with a large group of students as well as you can just split them up into groups for better organization. It can also be done indoors or outdoors, and can be implemented for a rainy day at home, a birthday party, or by a counselor at summer camp.
