Baguettes have deep roots in French culture and baking, despite its invention being fairly recent. The popular loaf is thought by some to have its origins in the 19th century, as advancements in baking technologies and procedures ushered in new ways of creating all sorts of baked goods. In 1920, the French government passed a law that limited the hours that bakers could work and made the extensive preparation time and long dough resting periods of traditional breads tricky, so many responded by simply switching over to what is now a staple for bread lovers worldwide. Their size, at least in traditional French baking, is standardized by law; they must be 65 centimeters long, and weigh right around 250 grams. Sesame seeds, a popular topping, has been cultivated for around 3,000 years. The seeds are rich in healthy fats, calcium, and magnesium, meaning they enhance more than just the flavor and texture of things they're added to. 

This doughy stuffy actually comes in two sizes; there's a perfectly round roll that measures 17.7 inches in diameter, and the more traditional long loaf, which is 19.6 inches long. Slightly shorter and chubbier than the real deal, the product has an exterior made of soft plush polyester, with a filling made from silky polypropylene cotton down. Washing should be done with a mild soap and warm water; extremes in temperature and handling may cause problems like shrinkage, warping, sticking, and fading.
