Rebecca the redbud leaf is all heart. 💜 This spring sapling returns every April, bringing warmth and love with her distinctive, heart shape. Born in the state of Oklahoma, Rebecca, or Becky for short, is happy to do her part for the local wildlife. Everything from deer to caterpillars benefit from her leaves. Even you can eat them if you like. So it's no surprise her tree has been made the official tree of the Sooner State.
Not only are redbud leaves edible, but so are their seeds. These tasty morsels happen to be a good source of healthy fats such as palmitic and oleic acids. Native Americans even enjoyed redbud seeds by roasting them before eating them for their flavor and nutrients.
This fun bit of foliage measures at 14.5 by 11.4 inches, and is carefully crafted with a plush polyester exterior. It's also stuffed with an extra soft blend of polypropylene cotton for that classic, feather down feel. Just be sure to only wash your leaf plushie in warm water; too hot or too cold may cause fading or shrinking.
