Meet Pixie, the Taker of Bold Bites

Pixie’s hot pink magenta color isn’t the only eye-catching quality about her.
What does that mean, exactly? She loves anything with a little bit of pizzazz.
 You might find her snacking on her favorite extreme sour strawberry gummies or ordering a round of tacos loaded with extra hot sauce. She’ll order extra sprinkles on her ice cream cones and likes her cherry cola so carbonated that she burps for hours. If she opts to eat at home, she’ll make a sandwich with so many toppings that it towers high above her dinner plate. Some call her an attention-seeking extreme eater, but we just call her Pixie.

Magenta is a high-contrast and attention-grabbing color.  With the energy of red and the depth of blue, magenta was made to stand out. It’s often associated with boldness, defiance, playfulness, and an unserious intensity. Magenta can feel a little extra and silly, but there’s actually a fascinating history behind this bold shade. It was named after the Battle of Magenta, which occurred in 1859 in Italy. One of the first synthetic dyes, this color was originally called fuchsine. However, it was later renamed magenta to commemorate the battle.
