Perforated, or hollowed brick, became a necessity in the early twentieth century as a lightweight alternative to traditional bricks. As their more aesthetic use grew in popularity, being employed as an outer "skin" for complete structures, shipping costs increased along with their demand. In response, builders began hollowing out portions of the bricks to allow for more to be shipped.
Our plush, perforated brick measures at 9.7 by 4.8 by 2.9 inches. It is constructed from polypropylene cotton down and foam rubber with a super soft, polyester exterior. The outer cover can be removed and washed, just be sure to only use warm water; too hot or too cold may cause unwanted fading or shrinking.
