If you ask Goldie the bear, there’s nothing better than a pawful of delicious, amber colored honey. As winter approaches, she vows to do a better job this year of preserving food instead of indulging right away, preparing for the long, dark months ahead. One jar of honey quickly becomes ten, and ten becomes thirty. She stacks a jar here, gulps one there, until her cave is overflowing. Soon, Goldie is nearly tripping over jars, and space has become scarce. Looking around, she’s surprised to find she doesn’t feel better. She’s more than prepared for winter, yet instead of comfort she feels overwhelmed, and even has a tummy ache. Sitting in the last free corner of her cave, Goldie has an idea. She plants a huge sign outside: “Share a Honeypot Day!” Friends from all over the forest gather, and Goldie feels relieved as she hands out honeypots. Taking a break to enjoy a scoop of honey with her friends, Goldie discovers that honey tastes sweetest when it’s shared.
