Francie the frog has the best skincare routine. Unbeknownst to her froggy friends, Francie gets up at the crack of dawn to begin her daily ritual of self care. The secret to her lovely green skin is... morning dew. Before the sun peeks over the hills, Francie hops from her lillypad to the field next door. There she hops, skips, frolics, rolls, and smothers herself in morning dew. Once she has covered herself head to frog-toe, she returns to the pond and everyone is jealous of how great she looks. After a nice roll in morning dew, her froggy skin is feeling hydrated, cool, and shiny. Maybe one day she'll share her secret!

Frogs are amphibians, which means they can live both in water and on land, but their skin must stay moist to survive. They absorb water and oxygen directly through their skin, so if it dries out, they can suffocate or become dehydrated. To prevent this, frogs often live near ponds, streams, or damp environments where their skin can stay wet. Some frogs even secrete a slimy coating that helps lock in moisture. At night or during hot, dry days, they hide under leaves or burrow into the soil to avoid losing water. Frogs also use their skin to help regulate their body temperature, which works best when it remains moist. Without keeping their skin wet, frogs would not be able to breathe properly or maintain their health.
