It seems only natural that these elements may eventually be brought together, so that's exactly what we did with our new Birthday Cake Macaron Mushie! The subtle pink of a ribbon, which would take nothing short of godlike baking skill to put on a real macaron, perfectly complements the soft blue of the iconic birthday cake flavor. Imagine the heady mix of airy texture, in-your-face flavor, and ethereal aroma of a birthday cake macaron every time you pick up this fun stuffy. 

When somebody mentions "birthday cake flavor", you probably have something fairly specific in mind. In truth, the traditional birthday cake has taken hundreds of forms over the years. The tradition was thought to have kicked off in Germany, where kids would often get a simple cake on their birthday that was sweetened with honey. The Industrial Revolution made it easier to get your hands on cake ingredients, eventually leading to the ubiquity and variety of cakes we see today. This, in turn has given rise to an absolutely insane showing of creative ideas for home cakes, as well as special requests that allow skilled bakers to flex their talents. Because of this variety, the "Birthday Cake" flavor often seen in baked goods, coffee creamer, and ice cream, has taken on a sort of composite form; grab it off the shelf, and you'll find notes of fondant, a milieu of fruity sprinkles, and of course, a bit of honey. 

The macaron you'll be getting if you place an order is not baked, but rather sewn. The exterior is made of soft plush polyester, while the inner stuffing is made from a specially treated polypropylene cotton down. Should your blue birthday get a little less blue from dirt or stains, the best thing to do is to give it a gentle scrub with warm water and a mild soap - subjecting this toy to extremes in temperature or handling could result in problems like shrinkage, fading, and even warping.
