Axolotls, being aquatic animals, rarely ever actually stand up on their four limbs. They often use those limbs, instead, to power through water, navigate obstacles, and put a quick end to tiny prey like worms. Ultimately, the axolotl's extremities don't play nearly as big a role in their movement as the same on most land lizards. If they did, of course, it would just make it even more beneficial that axolotls can regenerate just about any lost limb, usually in a matter of days or weeks. They can even regenerate some parts of their heart and brain. This makes the axolotl very resilient when it comes to run-ins with moving objects, fast-moving water, or larger creatures. Unfortunately, it doesn't help with the fact that they'll get very sick, very fast if the conditions of the water they live in are anything short of perfect. 

Speaking of perfect, this tiny toy is 8.7 inches. That's close to the size of a real axolotl, and perfect to stuff in a purse or backpack. The plushie comes in four color variants; pink, purple, cyan, and blue. It's got soft plush polyester on the outside, and a specially treated polypropylene cotton down on the inside. Be careful not to wash it in water that's too hot or too cold, as this can cause shrinkage and fading.
