Vicki the Velociraptor has earned the nickname of 'speedy thief' thanks to her agility and quick reflexes. In fact, she is the star player on the raptor's semi-pro football team. With her flexible, swivel action wrists (not unlike modern day birds), she effortlessly cradles the ball as she races across the field toward the end zone. The other raptors try to tackle her, but few are able to match her speed, which is about 40 miles per hour when she's had plenty of protein. If Vicki keeps it up, she'll be heading to the Cretaceous playoffs in no time! 🏈
While portrayed as large and imposing figures in popular media, real velociraptors where actually quite small, standing only about two feet tall and weighing up to 40 pounds. Although they were roughly the size of a small turkey, this doesn't mean they weren't a threat, because they hunted in packs to make quick work of their prey.
Our velociraptor hand puppet measures at 9.3 inches, and is made with a plush polyester exterior filled with an extra soft polypropylene cotton down blend. She comes with sharp-looking but perfectly soft teeth, making her both a formidable dino and a cuddly pal. She can be cleaned with lint rolling or gentle vacuuming, and should be stored away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.
