If a triceratops was fortunate enough to never fall prey to a t-rex, they enjoyed a long lifespan. Some experts believe they could have lived up to 80 or even 90 years. When compared to the modern day elephant, which shares an equally impressive lifespan, there are many similarities between the two herbivores. Baby triceratops grew relatively fast, reaching adult size in only 10 years. By rapidly outgrowing such a vulnerable stage of growth, these magnificent creatures saw more longevity than other herbivores of the era.
