While his land-based friends will be taking planes and buses to their family reunions, this winged wanderer doesn't need to worry about tickets and layovers. Eager to see his folks, Mr. Pterodactyl skips his usual hotel break, and flies nonstop across the country. ✈️ This is an easy feat, as Mr. Pterodactyl, or Terry as his kinfolk call him, can travel thousands of miles without ever breaking a sweat.
Pterodactyls truly ruled the skies of the Late Jurassic Period, capable of flying up to 10,000 miles without stopping. These incredible creatures could sustain flight for up to 10 days at a time by gliding and soaring on wind currents, only flapping their wings to change direction or altitude. They covered a lot of ground during their journeys as well, easily reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour.
This adorable pterodactyl measures at 9.3 inches, and is carefully crafted with a soft polyester exterior. As with all our plushie characters, he is filled with a rich blend of polypropylene cotton for that feather pillow softness. Be sure to only clean your dino hand puppet gently with warm water, as too cold or too hot may cause fading or shrinking.
