Greetings from Radish, the red rambling root. Born in Ancient China, the radish has since crossed oceans and continents, finding its way into gardens throughout the world. It's zesty kick has made it a vibrant addition to dishes in a wide range of cultures including Europe and Asia, and Mexico. But this perky produce has never forgotten where it came from, and still has roots back home in China, where wild radishes still grow to this day. 🫜

While the modern radish is a typically small root, there are much larger varieties grown throughout the world. 13th century Germany, for example, was known for growing large radishes, and a botanist described seeing one as big as 100 pounds. Also known as 'daikon', large radishes are now typically grown in several Asian countries, including China, Korea, Japan, and the Philippines. 

As part of our wool-knit collection, this lovely little veggie features a soft, crocheted exterior, and is filled with our lightweight, polypropylene cotton blend. Measuring at a fun sized, 4.3 inches, this radish is perfectly portable. To preserve the vibrant color of your toy vegetable, it is best stored out of direct sunlight, and can be cleaned with gentle vacuuming or lint rolling.
