Meet Sam the Spacewoman. 🚀 She's an expert in all things outer space, but her main passion is lunar exploration. Sam recently returned from the moon after studying this stunning celestial body for a month with her partner Billy the Blue Astronaut. Between games of zero gravity pingpong, she spent her spare time collecting moon rocks, testing mineral samples, and of course observing Earth from an incredible new perspective. While her astronaut companion was preoccupied with the effects of space on sports, Sam the Spacewoman was basking in the wonders of our universe. She took plenty of pictures too, and would be more than happy to share them over a glass of orange juice when she comes to visit, which she hopes is soon, as she can't wait to meet you.

Sally Ride set a number of records when she went into space. Not only was she the first American woman to leave Earth, but also the youngest. She made two trips into space during her career, the first being in June, 1983 aboard the Challenger, and the second in October, 1984, where she spent 8 days observing Earth from space. But her career didn't end there, as after she left NASA in 1987, Sally Ride became a professor in physics at the University of California, where she taught until 2007. 

Your new astronaut plushie measures at 9.8 inches, and features a suit crafted with the latest in space age fibers. The exterior of her suit is made with a special polyester blend, which is soft to the touch, and it is stuffed with a feather light, polypropylene cotton, making it one of the most cuddly in the galaxy. Your astronaut pal is machine washable, but should only be cleaned on the gentle cycle with warm water; too hot or too cold may cause unwanted shrinking or fading.
