Have you ever wondered why humans are so anxious to get to Mars? The answer is interesting, as not only is it relatively close to Earth, but also shares a number of similarities. Mars has (approximately) 24 hour days, and a similar axial tilt, resulting in seasonal shifts. They both have rocky surfaces consisting of similar geological makeup with iron oxides and silicate rocks, as well as polar ice caps, volcanoes, and deep canyons. They Also share atmospheres that drive weather patterns, and most interestingly, it is believed that Mars could have underground water reservoirs. Although strikingly similar to our home planet, it may be sometime before we pack up and move to Mars.

Little Red is part of our Micro Planet Plushie Keychain collection, and measures at an adorable 2.9 inches. For a more hand-friendly texture, we decided to use a soft, polyester exterior and forgo a rocky surface. And what plushie planet is complete without a featherlight blend of polypropylene cotton? Your mini Martian takes care of itself quite well, but may be cleaned, just be sure to remove the keychain and wash with only warm water.
