Humans got their start as a species through hunting and gathering, making eggs an important early food source. Gotta get that protein in, right? Around 1500 BCE, the Egyptians got the idea to domesticate chickens for the sole purpose of getting their hands on those delicious eggs. It's not clear exactly when we started boiling them, but records do indicate that it was a common practice in ancient Rome. Boiling was often paired with salting or encasing eggs in ash, to preserve them for times when fresh food may be scarce. These days, eggs are boiled for use in recipes, as a snack, or even for decorating, as seen in the Christian tradition of Easter.

Elder Egg, unlike most of the Snack Squad, does not have a keychain version available. He does, however, have a large variety of facial expressions to choose from. All of them measure 9 inches high, and they're all made of the same stuff. This plush uses soft polyester for the outside, and polypropylene cotton down for the filling. Warm water and mild soap should be used in washing - a typical machine cycle could cause shrinkage, fading, and warping, among other problems.
