We have corn by the bushel here at the Plushies Store market, so much it's coming out of our ears! Corn, sometimes referred to as maize, is a hard-working veggie that does triple duty: filling the position of fruit, vegetable, and grain. Like the farmers who raise it, this well rounded vegetable isn't afraid of breaking a sweat, making itself useful as food, beverages, and fuel. So grab a basket, stop on by, and take your pick. 🌽
Corn is a versatile vegetable, boasting literally thousands of uses throughout history. For example, the American Great Depression saw corn as an affordable replacement for coal. While prices of many goods raised during the 1930's, corn remained relatively cheap: about 8 to 10 cents per bushel. Resourceful families took notice and used it in their stoves to heat their homes.
This cuddly corn cob measures at 2.9 by 6.3 inches, and is made with an ultra soft polyester exterior. Unlike it's edible counterpart, our corn is nice and squishy on the inside; filled with a lightweight blend of polypropylene cotton down. Be sure to only wash your plush veggie in warm water, as too cold or too hot may cause unwanted shrinking.
