Carrot cake wasn't always an option outside of the mainstream. In medieval Europe, sugar, honey, and the like were often expensive and hard to find. The humble carrot, with its tendency to unleash a sugary bouquet when cooked right, found itself subbing in for other sweeteners in desserts like puddings and cakes. This actually repeated during the scarcity of World War II, after carrot cake came into its own a couple hundred years earlier. Though carrot cakes had been presented with various toppings throughout their history, cream cheese frosting as the most common option and best pairing with carrots didn't come about until much later. The humble dessert finds itself taking a variety of forms these days, often garnished with marzipan or fondant, or playing host to a range of different fruits. 

This rollable burst of lively orange colors measures up at 15.75 inches in diameter, making a more than serviceable pillow. The outside is made of a special polyester that's been processed to make it soft and silky, while the inside holds poylpropylene cotton down. The design features a zipper, to make cleaning a snap. Said cleaning should be done with a mild soap and warm water, lest the plushie start to fade, shrink, or have other problems linked to heat and chemical exposure.
