While Sonic Blast may commonly refer to a semi-obscure handheld game from the '90's that took an iconic character in an odd direction, that's not where this plush gets its name. Instead, it's modeled, quite loosely, after a phenomenon that occurs when something breaks the sound barrier. A sonic boom happens when an object travels faster than the speed of sound, creating a large amount of shockwaves that are heard as a single, massive boom. The speed of sound at a given time and place can vary based on things like altitude and temperature, so no two sonic booms are alike. 

This unique toy measures 18.9 inches, putting it on the larger side, but not quite giant, and of course, nowhere near as big as the scientific phenomenon that it's named after. The outer layer is a special polyester that's extra-soft, while the stuffing is made of a downy material crafted from a blend of cotton and polypropylene. If your little sonic blast gets dirty, make sure to only wash it in lukewarm water; a wash that's too hot will make the colors fade, while a bath that's too cold can cause shrinkage.
