Billy the Blue Spaceman has just returned from a month long stint on the moon, and he's just itching to tell the tales of his lunar 🌕 adventures. As a pingpong enthusiast, Billy spent much of his time testing the limits of his favorite sport in space. While he's an expert here on Earth, it took some time getting used to playing in his space suit. The moon's low gravity didn't help matters either, as every time he hit the ball out of bounds it rocketed out into space. But this little astronaut is nothing if not tenacious, so he kept at it until he became not only a world pingpong champ, but also a lunar one! Now he's eager to share his experience with you, and maybe knock a few pingpong balls around too. 

Astronauts are no strangers to the moon, and have set many milestones while visiting this famous, rocky satellite. Alan Shepard set his own milestone during his visit to the moon, and in February 6, 1971, was the first astronaut to hit a golfball there. He fashioned a makeshift 6-iron attached to a lunar rock collecting tool. Shepard was of course weighed down with his space suit, and had to use one hand to hit the golf ball, but after only 4 attempts, he successfully hit two golf balls, one traveling 24 yards and the other reaching 40 yards. The balls stayed in the air for about 30 seconds before landing, showing in fun detail the effects of low gravity on the moon. 

This squishy space man measures at 9.8 inches, perfectly sized for his cozy craft as he flies through the stars. His suit is equipped with a plush polyester exterior, and is filled with a lightweight blend of polypropylene cotton, which keeps him light and cool in his travels. His suit can be cleaned between missions, but should be washed with warm water only; too cold or too hot may cause unwanted shrinking or fading.
