Asteroids, formed from a wide variety of materials found in the vacuum of space, are leftovers from the very genesis of our universe. They tend to be made of a lot of rocky materials, in contrast to how faster-moving comets are generally composed of ice and smooth dirt. This gives them a very irregular shape, often full of craters and mountains. 

The asteroid you'll receive is about 15.75 inches from end to end, but it's not entirely spherical. Since asteroids usually have irregular shapes, that would be kind of out of character, wouldn't it? Instead, this little spacefaring toy comes in a shape more reminiscent of a donut. Its exterior is a plush polyester, while it's filled with a blend of cotton and polypropylene that's been specially treated to give it a downy feeling. Care should be taken in washing your little piece of the cosmos; warm water and mild soap will do just fine. Water that's too hot or too cold will put your tiny asteroid at risk of shrinking or fading.
