Alpacas, the modern and largely domesticated descendant of herd animals native to the Andes, have a lot that makes them unique and beloved. Indigenous tribes in the area of the Andes mountain range have been breeding them for around 6,000 years. Alpacas have long been treasured for their exquisitely soft fur, as low-maintenance livestock, and as companion animals. This reputation has stayed intact to this day, even as the humble alpaca has been spread around the globe. These animals are curious, gentle, and efficient, soft-footed grazers. Their silky fur comes naturally in 22 different colors. 

These shoes come in the rough equivalent of US men's sizes 6 to 8.5, and tend to fit a bit more snug than their size would indicate. They're made mostly of tough cotton, with an insole made of a specially treated polyester that's made to be extremely plush. The outsole is made of lightweight and versatile EVA. If your little alpaca gets dirty, be sure to wash by hand; throwing these through a machine can cause warping, fading, and all sorts of other problems.
