Sage is proud to be part of the Stegosaurus family. Stegosauruses had a strong tail with spikes, called the “thagomizer,” which it could use to defend itself against predators. Unlike many of its natural predators that hunted other dinosaurs, the Stegosaurus was an herbivore and had a low head, making it easier to reach low-growing plants. Many Stegosaurus fossils have been found in North America with the first Stegosaurus fossil discovered in 1877 in Colorado, providing scientists with clues about its life and environment. Stegosauruses have been delighting dinosaur lovers ever since.
