Sam loves to spend time with his dinosaur friends. The Stegosaurus was social and traveled in herds while searching for food. Stegosauruses had smaller sharp teeth that could tear through leaves, but they didn’t have a powerful jaw, so, unlike other dinosaurs, they wouldn’t have been able to chomp through hardier plants. Therefore Sam prefers to eat smaller and softer plants, such as ferns. Although found mainly in northern America, Stegosauruses lived in other parts of the world. Stegosaurus lived in what’s now Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming and may have also roamed Portugal. Sam won’t beat you in a race since Stegosauruses were very slow, with a maximum speed of 5 miles per hour.
